26 May Annual Media Event with Destination Germany & Lufthansa
This year German National Tourism Board and Lufthansa Group had another special reason for a celebration – Lufthansa is celebrating 50 years of operation in Croatia.
Annual media event was organized on May 25th in one of the well-known Zagreb restaurants RougeMarin. Around 35 media had the opportunity to find out news about new promotional campaign „Germany Simply Inspiring“, learn about Lufthansa throughout history as well as to see and experience a bit of Street Art culture applied on German history icon – Trabant.
The event was opened with a welcome speech given by Bruno Boban, Spokesman and Counselor of German Embassy in Zagreb. Tijana Djuricic, PR Manager of the Regional Office of the German National Tourist Board for Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Montenegro, Romania and Serbia, has introduced this year promotional campaign „Germany Simply Inspiring“, and Bernhard Wodl, General Manager of Lufthansa in Croatia has led us through the history of Lufthansa while emphasizing modern and sustainable services of whole Lufthansa Group.
The end of the official part of the event was reserved for the toast and Lufthansa birthday cake.
Trabi as an Urban Star of the Event
Meanwhile in the courtyard of the restaurant a Street Art artist, Krešimir Golubić – aka Leon, was working on a masterpiece – Trabant, the symbol of German history. Trabant was a perfect canvas for applying the symbols of destination Germany and retro motives of Lufthansa in a stencil art technique.
The idea about Street Art performance came up due to the capital of Germany, Berlin as people like to say that Berlin is „The graffiti Mecca of the urban art world“. Krešimir – aka Leon is the person with an amazing background in graffiti, who made his first serious works after visiting Berlin in 1992.
With motives of Brandenburg Gate, and an air plane that flied on relation Frankfurt – Zagreb back in 1967, our Trabi became a real urban star and the event took us all at least for a couple of moments to Berlin and its lively atmosphere.
